- 8 oz (225g) elbow macaroni or pasta of choice
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup milk (low-fat preferred)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shredded chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir for 2–3 minutes until warmed through.
- Reduce heat to low. Add milk, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese to the skillet. Stir until cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the cheesy BBQ sauce.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a smoky or spicy BBQ sauce for extra depth of flavor.
- For a baked version, transfer to a casserole dish, top with extra cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
- Rotisserie chicken works well as a quick substitute for cooked chicken.
