Description

This Cheese Bread is an easy, cheesy quick bread loaded with cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan. It’s soft on the inside, golden on top, and packed with savory herbs for a flavorful homemade loaf that requires no yeast or kneading.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and thyme.
  3. Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses until evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined—do not overmix.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
