Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like oregano or thyme, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried herbs.
  3. Stir in shredded cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil or melted butter, and the egg.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
