Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like oregano or thyme, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried herbs.
- Stir in shredded cheese.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil or melted butter, and the egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serving.
