This Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole is a comforting, one-dish meal featuring tender ground beef, fluffy rice, savory mushroom soup, and melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until onions are soft.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir in cooked beef mixture.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 40 minutes, then remove foil and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top. Bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
