Description

Chicken Buttered Noodles are the definition of simple comfort food. Tender chicken, buttery noodles, and a light creamy sauce come together in a kid-friendly, cozy dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz egg noodles (or preferred pasta)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, parsley, and thyme. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked noodles and chicken back to the skillet. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Add grated Parmesan for extra richness.
  • Swap chicken for turkey or shrimp if desired.
