Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 ½ cups orzo pasta
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chicken sausage over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add orzo pasta and stir for 1 minute to toast lightly.
- Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Add broccoli florets and cooked sausage. Continue cooking until the orzo is tender and broccoli is bright green.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
