Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 ½ cups orzo pasta
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chicken sausage over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the orzo pasta to the pan and toast lightly for 1–2 minutes, stirring often.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 8–10 minutes until orzo is nearly cooked.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and cooked sausage. Continue to cook for 3–4 minutes, until broccoli is tender and the orzo is creamy.
- Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm and enjoy.

- For a creamier texture, stir in a splash of milk or cream before serving.
