Description
Chili Cheese Tater Tot Casserole is a hearty, comforting dish loved by the whole family. Layers of crispy tater tots, flavorful chili, creamy sour cream, and melted cheddar cheese make it a crowd-pleaser for any night.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of frozen tater tots
- 2 cans of chili (with or without beans)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread chili evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the sour cream (dollops).
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining cheese and green onions on top, and bake 5 more minutes until cheese melts.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use homemade or store-bought chili.
- For extra flavor, add cooked ground beef or sausage to the chili layer.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 2 days.
