Description

This Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread is soft, fluffy, and packed with the irresistible flavors of a classic cinnamon sugar donut—all baked into a sweet, tender loaf. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy snack with coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for the topping.
  9. While the bread is still warm, sprinkle or gently press the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For extra richness, brush the top of the warm bread with melted butter before adding the cinnamon sugar topping.
