Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes (≈4 large)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk or whole milk
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- For the topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed, 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix mashed sweet potatoes, melted butter, milk, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare topping by combining flour, brown sugar, and cubed butter until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over sweet potato mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until topping is golden and casserole is heated through.
- Serve warm.
