Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for searing
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (~2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water for lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken 4โ€“5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Sautรฉ 1โ€“2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, dill, lemon juice, and chicken broth. Simmer 2โ€“3 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return chicken to skillet and coat with the sauce. Heat through 2โ€“3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm.
