Description

Cozy Honey-Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread is a perfect breakfast treat. Soft, slightly sweet, and packed with wholesome oats and warm cinnamon, this bread is ideal for morning bliss with a drizzle of honey or a pat of butter.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Water


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, warm the milk, water, and butter until butter melts. Let cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine yeast, honey, and a few tablespoons of the warm liquid. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add rolled oats, flour, cinnamon, salt, and remaining liquid. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Add extra oats on top before baking for a rustic look.
  • Can substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
