These Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches are tender, juicy, and packed with rich beef flavor. Slow-cooked chuck roast is seasoned and simmered in a savory broth, then piled onto toasted hoagie rolls and served with a warm dipping au jus for the ultimate comfort sandwich.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
- Place the roast in the crockpot.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce over the meat.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 7โ8 hours or HIGH for 4โ5 hours until tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks and return it to the juices.
- Toast hoagie rolls if desired. Pile shredded beef onto each roll and top with provolone cheese.
- Serve sandwiches with warm au jus from the crockpot for dipping. Garnish with parsley if desired.

- For extra flavor, add sliced onions to the crockpot.
- Cheese can be melted under the broiler for 1โ2 minutes.
