These Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches are tender, juicy, and packed with rich beef flavor. Slow-cooked chuck roast is seasoned and simmered in a savory broth, then piled onto toasted hoagie rolls and served with a warm dipping au jus for the ultimate comfort sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Place the roast in the crockpot.
  4. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce over the meat.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 7โ€“8 hours or HIGH for 4โ€“5 hours until tender.
  6. Shred the beef with two forks and return it to the juices.
  7. Toast hoagie rolls if desired. Pile shredded beef onto each roll and top with provolone cheese.
  8. Serve sandwiches with warm au jus from the crockpot for dipping. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes
