Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a bold and flavor-packed dinner featuring tender chicken tossed with pasta in a rich, creamy, and spicy Cajun sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal that feels indulgent and restaurant-quality!

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti
  • Salt, for pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Optional garnishes: red pepper flakes, fresh lemon juice, sautéed vegetables, or shrimp

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes per side. Remove and slice.
  3. Cook pasta according to package instructions in salted water, drain, and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, then stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Add cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the sauce. Toss to combine and heat through.
  8. Garnish with parsley, red pepper flakes, or lemon juice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken with shrimp for a seafood version.
  • Add sautéed bell peppers, onions, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for milder or spicier heat.
