Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)


Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Remove sausage from casings and crumble into the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the cooked sausage and toss to combine.
  6. Mix in the cooked fettuccine and coat with the sauce evenly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.
