Description

Crispy Lemon Pepper Chicken Bites are bite-sized pieces of chicken breasts coated in a perfectly seasoned, crunchy coating with bright lemon pepper flavor. These crispy bites are quick to fry and ideal for snacking or serving with dips.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3-4 cups vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
  • Fresh lemon wedges (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
  3. Dip chicken pieces into the egg wash, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  5. Fry chicken bites in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
