Crispy Lemon Pepper Chicken Bites are bite-sized pieces of chicken breasts coated in a perfectly seasoned, crunchy coating with bright lemon pepper flavor. These crispy bites are quick to fry and ideal for snacking or serving with dips.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3-4 cups vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
- Fresh lemon wedges (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
- Dip chicken pieces into the egg wash, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Fry chicken bites in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
