Description
Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a creamy, comforting dish perfect for weeknight dinners. Tender chicken breasts slow-cooked with cream cheese, butter, garlic, and Italian dressing mix create a rich, flavorful sauce that’s served over delicate angel hair pasta.
Ingredients
- 1–2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 large)
- 4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup (low or no sodium optional)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup chicken broth (low or no sodium optional)
- 1 (0.7 oz) packet Good Seasons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
- 16 oz angel hair pasta
- Chopped fresh parsley, cracked pepper, and/or grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Brown chicken on both sides for 2–3 minutes each, then transfer to the crock pot.
- Add cream cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, garlic, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix. Stir gently to combine.
- Cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
- Serve chicken over pasta, spooning creamy sauce on top. Garnish with parsley, cracked pepper, and/or Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use low-sodium broth and soup if you prefer a milder taste.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a pinch of red pepper flakes before serving.
