Description
These Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks are the perfect crunchy, cheesy snack. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, they’re easy to make and ready in minutes!
Ingredients
- 12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
- Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Freeze mozzarella sticks for at least 1 hour to prevent melting during cooking.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each cheese stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for extra crunch.
- Place coated sticks on a baking sheet and freeze again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Spray mozzarella sticks with cooking spray and air fry for 6-8 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Double coating ensures the cheese doesn’t leak while frying.
- Keep sticks frozen before air frying to maintain shape.
