Description
This creamy shrimp tortellini with lemon garlic sauce is a quick, restaurant-quality dinner you can make at home in under 30 minutes. Tender shrimp and cheese tortellini are tossed in a zesty garlic cream sauce thatโs bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sautรฉ until pink and cooked through (about 3 minutes). Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce slightly thickens.
- Return shrimp and tortellini to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen shrimp, just make sure they are fully thawed.
- Add red pepper flakes for a little heat.
- Great with a side of garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
- To lighten it up, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
