Description

This Dump-and-Bake Chicken Parmesan Casserole is the ultimate no-fuss dinner. Just mix everything in one dish, bake, and enjoy tender pasta, juicy chicken, and melty cheese in a classic Italian-inspired marinara sauce—perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups uncooked rotini pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1¼ cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup turkey ham or turkey pepperoni (optional)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Add uncooked pasta, chicken, marinara sauce, water or broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the dish.
  3. Stir well to evenly combine ingredients.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, stir, then sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, turkey ham or pepperoni (if using), and breadcrumbs on top.
  6. Drizzle breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter.
  7. Return to oven uncovered and bake for 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crisp topping, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta if desired.
  • Leftovers store well and reheat beautifully.
