This Dump-and-Bake Chicken Parmesan Casserole is the ultimate no-fuss dinner. Just mix everything in one dish, bake, and enjoy tender pasta, juicy chicken, and melty cheese in a classic Italian-inspired marinara sauce—perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups uncooked rotini pasta
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1¼ cups water or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup turkey ham or turkey pepperoni (optional)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add uncooked pasta, chicken, marinara sauce, water or broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the dish.
- Stir well to evenly combine ingredients.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove foil, stir, then sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, turkey ham or pepperoni (if using), and breadcrumbs on top.
- Drizzle breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter.
- Return to oven uncovered and bake for 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crisp topping, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta if desired.
- Leftovers store well and reheat beautifully.
