Description

Golden Cheese Steak Tortellini Casserole is a rich, indulgent meal with tender steak, creamy cheese sauce, and tender tortellini. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sirloin steak or steak tips
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 package fresh or refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice steak into thin strips, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter, cook steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add garlic to skillet, cook 1 minute. Stir in flour to make a roux, then slowly whisk in milk and beef broth until smooth.
  5. Add Dijon mustard, cheddar cheese, and half of the mozzarella, stirring until melted.
  6. Toss cooked tortellini in the cheese sauce, then mix in steak.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh tortellini for best texture, but refrigerated works well.
  • Substitute sirloin with ribeye or flank steak for a richer flavor.
  • Leftovers store in fridge for up to 2 days and reheat well.
