Golden Cheese Steak Tortellini Casserole is a rich, indulgent meal with tender steak, creamy cheese sauce, and tender tortellini. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Sirloin steak or steak tips
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 package fresh or refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice steak into thin strips, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter, cook steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add garlic to skillet, cook 1 minute. Stir in flour to make a roux, then slowly whisk in milk and beef broth until smooth.
- Add Dijon mustard, cheddar cheese, and half of the mozzarella, stirring until melted.
- Toss cooked tortellini in the cheese sauce, then mix in steak.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh tortellini for best texture, but refrigerated works well.
- Substitute sirloin with ribeye or flank steak for a richer flavor.
- Leftovers store in fridge for up to 2 days and reheat well.
