Description

Heath Bar Poke Cake is a decadent chocolate cake infused with sweetened condensed milk and caramel, topped with fluffy whipped topping and crunchy Heath candy pieces. It’s a crowd-pleaser perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients required on box)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • 4 Heath candy bars, chopped (or 1 cup Heath toffee bits)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Once baked, poke holes all over the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon or skewer.
  3. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  4. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cake.
  5. Spread whipped topping evenly on top.
  6. Sprinkle chopped Heath bars or toffee bits over the whipped topping.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cake for better absorption of condensed milk.
  • Substitute caramel sauce with homemade caramel if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered.
