Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4โ5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a baking dish lightly with oil.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 2โ3 minutes until softened.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
- Layer sliced potatoes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour beef broth and milk (if using) evenly over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40โ45 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
