Description
Honey Garlic Chicken is a sweet and savory dish made with tender chicken thighs cooked in a sticky honey-garlic sauce. Perfect served over boiled rice, itโs a quick and comforting weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs (skinless and boneless)
- 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
- ยฝ tsp salt
- ยฝ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 110 g (1/3 cup) honey
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) chicken stock
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
To Serve:
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
- ยฝ tsp chili flakes
- Boiled rice
Instructions
- Pat chicken thighs dry and toss with cornflour, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook for 5โ6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and sautรฉ for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk together honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Pour into the pan and simmer for 2โ3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce.
- Sprinkle with parsley and chili flakes, serve over boiled rice.
Notes
- Adjust honey and soy sauce to taste for sweeter or saltier sauce.
- Chicken thighs can be substituted with breasts but may cook faster.
- Garnish with sesame seeds for extra flavor and presentation.
