Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with black pepper, and cook for 1โ2 minutes per side until pink.
- Pour the honey soy mixture into the skillet. Cook for 1โ2 minutes, stirring to coat the shrimp.
- In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add to the skillet and cook for another 1โ2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

- For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the honey soy mixture for 15 minutes before cooking.
