Description

This Korean Ground Beef Bowl is packed with bold flavors from soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. A quick and easy dinner option served over rice and optionally paired with broccoli, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 blend for flavor)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the beef. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and well combined.
  3. If using broccoli, add florets and cook for another 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice.
  5. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in the sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
