Description
This Korean Ground Beef Bowl is packed with bold flavors from soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. A quick and easy dinner option served over rice and optionally paired with broccoli, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 blend for flavor)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the beef. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and well combined.
- If using broccoli, add florets and cook for another 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef in the sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking.
