This Magical 30-Minute Dorito Casserole is a cheesy, crunchy, kid-approved dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Layers of seasoned beef, creamy cheddar sauce, and crispy Doritos come together in one irresistible bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 bag (9.75 oz) Doritos, crushed
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with chilies. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cheddar cheese soup and milk until smooth. Add to the beef mixture and combine.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos, followed by the beef mixture, and then sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining Doritos and cheese.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to mix in corn or black beans for added texture and flavor.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Top with sour cream, green onions, or salsa for a Tex-Mex flair.
