Description
These Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips. Perfect for sharing or enjoying with a cold glass of milk!
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping if desired.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still soft.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake and let cool completely before cutting.
- You can mix in chopped nuts or white chocolate chips for variety.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
