Description

These Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips. Perfect for sharing or enjoying with a cold glass of milk!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping if desired.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set but still soft.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake and let cool completely before cutting.
  • You can mix in chopped nuts or white chocolate chips for variety.
