Description

These Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are rich, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips. They’re perfect for any occasion and incredibly easy to make!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the flour, salt, and baking soda until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For gooey bars, bake on the lower end of the time range.
  • Add chopped nuts or swap chips for chunks for variation.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
