Description
These Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are rich, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips. They’re perfect for any occasion and incredibly easy to make!
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and baking soda until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
Notes
- For gooey bars, bake on the lower end of the time range.
- Add chopped nuts or swap chips for chunks for variation.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
