Ingredients
- Cookies:

- 1 cup powdered sugar

- Royal Icing:
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2 ¼ tablespoons warm water
- 1 tablespoon meringue powder
- ¼ teaspoon clear flavor extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into mummy shapes using cookie cutters.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely on wire racks.
- Prepare royal icing by mixing powdered sugar, water, meringue powder, and flavor extract until smooth.
- Pipe the icing onto cooled cookies to create mummy wraps and add eyes with icing or candy eyes.
