Description

Philly Cheese Steak Casserole combines the classic flavors of Philly cheesesteak sandwiches in a comforting baked casserole. Ground beef, sautรฉed peppers and onions, and savory gravy are topped with a cheesy Bisquick mixture for a hearty family-friendly meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup large diced yellow onions
  • 1ยฝ cups large diced green peppers
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.87 oz brown gravy mix
  • ยฝ tbsp garlic powder
  • ยฝ tbsp onion powder
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp pepper
  • 1ยฝ cups Bisquick mix
  • ยพ cup water
  • ยฝ cup mayo
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions and green peppers to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1 cup water, brown gravy mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3โ€“4 minutes until thickened.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine Bisquick mix, ยพ cup water, and mayo. Stir until smooth.
  6. Spread beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour Bisquick mixture over top.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 25โ€“30 minutes until casserole is bubbly and cheese is melted.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
