Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ยฝ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ยฝ cup milk
- 1 cup mustard-cheddar sauce (recipe below)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Set up three bowls: flour in the first, beaten eggs with Dijon mustard in the second, crushed pretzels mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the third.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then egg mixture, then press into pretzel mixture until fully coated.
- Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25โ30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and crust is golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat milk and shredded cheddar over low heat, stirring until smooth to make the mustard-cheddar sauce.
- Serve chicken hot with sauce drizzled on top.
