Description

Swirled Garlic Herb And Cheese Bread is a soft, flavorful loaf featuring a garlic butter herb filling swirled with mozzarella and cheddar or Parmesan cheese. Perfect as a side or snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ยผ tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ยพ cup warm milk (110ยฐF/45ยฐC)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ยฝ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ยฝ cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg; mix and knead to form a soft dough.
  3. Let dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and cheeses.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread the garlic herb cheese filling evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then slice into rounds.
  8. Place the rolls cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  9. Let rise for 30 minutes, then bake at 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for 25โ€“30 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.
