Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions

- 2 (8 oz) tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup (60g) melted butter
- 1 cup (60g) Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons (60g) butter
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (480ml) chicken broth
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, green onions, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Separate crescent dough into rectangles and press seams together.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold dough around filling and pinch edges to seal completely.
- Dip each chicken pillow in melted butter, then coat with Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20โ25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk until smooth.
- Cook until thickened, stirring frequently.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the warm chicken pillows topped with creamy Parmesan sauce.
