Ingredients
- For the Filling:

- For the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Topping:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
- ยผ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cold butter, grated
- ยฝ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- โ cup whole milk (plus 1 tablespoon if needed)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish or deep pie dish.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sautรฉ the onion and celery for 4โ5 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the seafood stock and heavy cream until smooth. Add the Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper, then simmer for 3โ5 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in the shrimp, lobster, and parsley. Cook for 2โ3 minutes, then transfer the filling to the prepared baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Cut in the grated butter, then stir in the cheddar cheese. Add the milk and mix just until a soft dough forms.
- Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough evenly over the seafood filling.
- Bake for 22โ25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- Scallops or lump crab meat can be substituted for part of the lobster.
